1. About us

Explore Ladakh (“we”, “us”, “our”) is a Leh-based taxi and tour operator providing airport transfers, sightseeing and multi-day tours across Ladakh. By booking with us — through this website, WhatsApp, phone or email — you agree to these terms.

2. Bookings & confirmation

All bookings are treated as a request until confirmed by our team on WhatsApp, call or email.
You are responsible for providing a valid phone number and accurate travel details.
Vehicle type and driver may change at our discretion to a similar or better category.

3. Payments

An advance may be required for multi-day trips and peak-season bookings. The balance is payable in cash, UPI or bank transfer on the day of travel unless agreed otherwise in writing.

4. Cancellation & refunds

Cancellation more than 72 hours before pickup: full refund of any advance minus payment charges.
24–72 hours before pickup: 50% of the advance is retained.
Within 24 hours or no-show: advance is non-refundable.
Weather, roadblocks, permits, strikes and other force-majeure events are not refundable but we will reschedule wherever possible.

5. Inner Line & Protected Area Permits

Destinations such as Pangong, Nubra, Hanle and Tso Moriri require permits. You must provide a scanned ID (Aadhaar / passport) at least 24 hours before travel. Permit fees are charged at government rates and are non-refundable once issued.

6. High-altitude health

Ladakh sits above 3,000 m. We recommend acclimatising in Leh for at least 24–48 hours before travelling higher. You travel at your own risk and are responsible for consulting a doctor if you have heart, respiratory or blood-pressure conditions.

7. Liability

Our vehicles are insured as required by Indian law. We are not liable for personal injury, loss or damage to belongings, delays caused by weather, army convoys, landslides, road closures or any events outside our reasonable control.

8. Conduct

Smoking, alcohol consumption and any illegal activity inside our vehicles is prohibited. Drivers may end a trip without refund if guests behave unsafely towards the driver, vehicle or other road users.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version published on this page at the time of your booking applies to your trip.
