A solemn war memorial and museum built by the Indian Army honouring soldiers who laid down their lives defending Ladakh, especially during the 1999 Kargil War.

History & significance

Inaugurated by the Indian Army, the museum displays personal items, letters, photographs, and weapons of fallen soldiers, along with exhibits on the harsh terrain of Siachen and the history of conflicts in the region.

Travel tips

• Carry a valid government ID for entry.
• Photography is restricted inside some galleries.
• Allow at least 60–90 minutes for a meaningful visit.
• Combine with the Magnetic Hill and Gurudwara Pathar Sahib trip.
